For those who have been around the channel for a while, you'll know that I'm obsessed travel, national parks, and campervans. My love of campervans started in 2016 when I rented a minivan, took 3 weeks off of work, and drove it 10,000 miles to 7 national parks with Jake, CoolWhip and Eric. That same year, I flew into Denver with CoolWhip, rented a minivan, threw a cot in the back and headed down to Taos for a "women on the road" campervan meetup that was life-changing.
From there I was hooked! The next year I bought my first van, but it was too big and complicated with all its amenities and everything kept breaking, so I purchased a smaller van and just put a simple build (basically a bed and some crates) in it and called it a day.
Unfortunately, when I moved back to CT during the pandemic and went back to placing dogs (and being away from home 6 months out of the year) I made the decision to sell that van because it wasn't getting used. But I missed it dearly.
So, four years later, I'm back in a campervan and loving it!
This week's video is a full tour of my van that I am currently sitting in, typing this post as I head West with the crew! This build is elegantly simple and practical (and can be ready in just a few days!). So come along with me as I show you around my new dog travel van!
